Casademont Zaragoza complete Yarden Garzon signing for 2024-25

Casademont Zaragoza announced on Monday the signing of Israeli forward Yarden Garzon for the upcoming Liga Femenina Endesa season. The 22-year-old, 1.91m player arrives in Aragon after four seasons in the NCAA, where she established herself as one of the deadliest three-point shooters in college basketball.

A sharpshooter with NCAA pedigree

Garzon arrives in Zaragoza with an impressive NCAA resume. In her three years at Indiana University, she was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in her debut campaign. She later earned two consecutive selections to the Second Team All-Big Ten. Her final college season was played at Maryland, where she closed her university career by being named to the Third Team All-Big Ten. She also became Indiana’s all-time three-point leader, cementing her reputation as one of the best shooters in American college basketball.

Profile: versatility and perimeter threat

Casademont Zaragoza highlights her ability to play multiple perimeter positions, create advantages for teammates, and stretch defenses with her three-point shooting. Standing at 1.91m, Garzon will add versatility to the Zaragoza offense, both in perimeter play and pick-and-roll situations. Her court vision and consistent threat from deep could be crucial in breaking down paint defenses in the Liga Femenina.

Israel international with youth experience

Yarden Garzon has been an Israel senior international since a young age. She has also shone in her country’s youth teams, notably at the FIBA U20 European Championship. Her German passport gives her freedom of movement in the European market, an added advantage for Casademont Zaragoza’s sporting project.
